Envy is to want what somebody else has.

Gods jealousy is different from worldly jealousy because God isn’t just jealous because he wants us to praise only him. He is also jealous because he knows there is no other path, god, or direction you could possibly follow that can bring you more reward than following the one true God. He is jealous because he wants what is best for us and that is always Him. Amen!

This is a great way to describe jealously. I find our relationship to Him can be compared to a parent to their child. The parent looks out for the child and wants what’s best, but sometimes the child doesn’t understand that!

They confuse Envy with Jealousy.
They think that Jealousy is bad on it's self. I always ask them what they think Jealousy means and usually they explain Envy.

There are two types of jealousy. A righteous jealousy, you want what is already yours and want what's best for yours; God's will. Edit: Then an unrighteous jealousy is more like covetousness; our own will. Edit: in the Bible, one of God's names is El-Kanna (in Hebrew) Exodus 34:14 Look it up for yourself and take of it what you will.
