Hey everybody and welcome to our final winter episode in Europe as we spend 48 hours in the beautiful Hungary capital of Budapest.

We had a super relaxing 2 days in Budapest, taking Stephens parents around to some of our favourite spots. We started at Fishermans Bastion to see the incredible views of the city before making our way into St Stephen's Basilica.

From there, Stephen went with his parents to the famous Budapest spa, Széchenyi Spa for some much needed relaxation.

After meeting back up with Jess, she took them to the Christmas markets for some street food to try Langos and golash and of course a chimney cake.

To end our final night on the Christmas winter holiday we had a Danube river cruise with some drinks :)

Hope you guys enjoyed this series!

budapest is one of underrated Central European countries.. its one of my favorite cities.... its more romantic than Prague... cheaper than Prague and gets overlooked by Prague.. Fisherman Bastion, Central Market, the Parliament, the Citadel, Szycheni baths..
Budapest for the win....

I've been to Budapest twice since 2016. I went back the second time, thinking that I might be somewhat cured of actually feeling homesick for Budapest after being there for 10 days in 2016. When I went back, I took my wife and two boys, and coming back the second time was worse than coming back the first.

It's a wonderful place. I love it so much there, that it feels like home to me.

This was such a walk down memory lane for me! I went to Budapest in 2018 with the intention of only spending a couple nights there before moving on but I ended up extending and staying there for 7! Such a fantastic city. In my hostel I met a lovely Swedish gal who had set off on a trip around Europe with Budapest as her first stop and she had ended up staying 3 months 😂now she lives there permanently! Love it

Right at the bastion, there is a small bar where you can sit outside packed with lots of blankets and have an amazing look over the Danube and the parliament building. Probably my favorite spot in all Budapest. And they sell very inexpensive super delicious mulled wine. Definitely a go to spot

Great video!! Budapest is awesome. I fell in love with it 20 years ago and I am always in awe of the architecture. It's not possible to get bored her. Christmas time is really lovely but it's especially beautiful when the sun shines. Fisherman’s Bastion, the Danube, Saint Stephens Basilica, The Citadel, The Chain Bridge....it’s like they just sparkle. I feel so lucky to live here😊

Oh my God! I was in Budapest for two and a half days and probably a little after you were there. I was in Vienna before I visited this city. Vienna is expectedly magnificent, Budapest is surprisingly awesome! Greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina!

Budapest is my absolute fave city to visit. And hey, if the date of the video is when that was shot - I was there end of January of last year aswell, the very same time. Another thing I can recommend for your next visit there: Take the 291 bus from Nyugati Station up to Zugliget, Libegő, a chairlift up the Janos Hill. Or take a Hév train from örs vezer Tere out to Göddölő Castle, where the Austrian Empress Elzabeth ("Sisi") loved to spend her time. A Boat trip up to Visegrád or Esztergom is also always worth a trip, the floodplains of the Danube are so scenic to see and the area around the Danube knee aswell
