2021 Yamaha MT09 SP first canyon ride!

Took a mellow ride up my local canyon to break in the new Motorcycle. The last modern bike I owned was a 2008 Triumph Speed Triple. To say all these new fancy feature are super new to me, is an understatement. I love it. To be able to change the way the engine performs.. wow.. super aggressive or super chill. As I'm a daily motorcyclist that doesn't even own a car anymore.. having these options is quite exciting to me.

This isn't a tech review. Just my thoughts and experience on my first canyon ride on this lovely beast.

Ive been waiting for 3months for my sp to arrive now my dealership(oregon) is telling me June. And that is a maybe!!

Yamaha s 3 cylinder sounds so much better than Triumphs. Very nice even in the low revs. This bike is intimidating to me, because I know what its capable of, but nice that it appears to be able to ride at a chilled pace as well.

Enjoyed the vid. Thinking about the sp as well. Seems to be in the top 3 of the middleweight naked bikes. Maybe even no. 1 but that is of course very subjective so won’t go there. Enjoy.
