For everyone struggling to add the music, it might be because you forgot to drag it from the media pool into the actual video. If this is what happened, I just did that as well haha so don’t worry

If you are trying to add MP3 files, it will not work in the current version, convert it to MP4 first using freeconvert then import it

Yeah, I'm using Davinci Resolve 17, and I don't think this works anymore. I've had luck using MP4s instead.

ive been trying to import an mp3 file into davinci resolve but it just doesnt appear in there. My other clips from medal work but the mp3 file doesnt

my sound data doesnt show up. I tried with wav, mp3, ogg, mp4 and it didn't work with any of those. is it possible that some soundfiles have some kind of protection built into them?

Hey everyone, make sure you're in the "Edit" tab, not the "Cut" tab. I wasn't able to add the song to my timeline when I was in the Cut tab, but I could add it to the Edit tab, and then work on it in the Cut tab.
