I don’t understand why youtube gives you an option to ‘add sound’ aka a song to your youtube short if that can potentially give you a copyright strike? There is no warning that i can see in the add sound section about this. Glad i watched your video, i was unsure if i should post the short or not, something told me to check first.

I just read YouTube’s music policy on Shorts and it says that if you select any music from the Shorts library then it will not result in copyright infringement. YouTube says that their own music library has been licensed to them from those artists so they are able to be used and can be included in monetized videos.
