Clear and to the point, I like her. She even clarified that organic molecules don't indicate life only the potential for it, something news channels should be clear about in their titles.

You can tell when his eyes just glazed over. He wanted a 1 sentence answer and often things of importance can't be boiled down that much and still say anything at all.

The fact that nobody has bothered to contact us, proves intelligent life exists out there.

I hate that he was so quick to cut her off. It sounded like she had a lot more to say. And to me, as space has always been a topic of high interest, I would have loved to have heard more from her. I am excited to see a Mars space program in the future! I can only imagine what future astronauts will feel like knowing they will be the first ones (From Earth) to place feet on the planet of Mars. I would imagine it would feel very similar to Neil Armstrong placing boots on the surface of the Moon in 1969. I cannot wait!

The best part of NASA is the lack of ego maniacs. Scientists and engineers working collectively towards exploration. Proving that humanity can accomplish great things.

The 2030's are exciting for space news:
-Mars samples returned to Earth.
-Humans on the Moon.
-Humans on Mars.
-Roman space telescope operating.
-Venus exploration (Davinci, Veritas, Envision).
-Dragonfly on its way to Titan.
-Extreme large telescope operating.
-ExoMars rover.

And my absolute favorite: Clipper scanning Europa!

It's good to see that the scientists clarified that this doesn't mean that there's life there but potentially could have been life.

Maybe one day, intelligent life will appear on Earth.

Organic molecules can be synthesized from something as simple as a lightning strike. That step from organic molecule to a bacterium is a huge one.

This story is the perfect example showing just how far behind mainstream media really is.

We've known there MIGHT have been life on Mars, for literally decades now 🙄

Life has to exist off of earth, complex life is the real question.

Fermi Paradox and Drakes Equation says we as humans are extremely lucky to exist, and it's likely our civilization dies off from some madman who wants to end it all.(a future filter to the trolls who can't understand what I meant)

Mars would've had life on it and a sustainable atmosphere if Jupiter hadn't choked it to death billions of years ago, shortening its lifespan. Jupiter's brief passage into Mars' orbit caused rocks and asteroids that could've added to its size and mass to be sucked into Jupiter. Because of its smaller size, Mars ran out of geothermal energy much sooner, causing its magnetic poles to shut down and allowing solar wind to decimate its atmosphere and surface. Earth would've suffered the same fate if the gravity of the newly-formed Saturn hadn't pulled Jupiter back to the outer planets.

Wait. Bacteria is considered life on Mars, but a beating heart is not considered life on earth?

Omg, how can you make something so complex and HUGE topic sound so simple and effortless. By simple i mean how she explains it. I can't be the only one. I actually learned something.

There’s really nothing on mars but grief and loneliness. We’d be better off building a Death Star.
