Installing Windows on RV Doors - AP Products - Cherokee 264DBH

We installed windows on our Cherokee Travel Trailer. There were no preexisting windows on the doors, so we had to cut them in. It was a very easy process. All you really need is a drill and a scroll saw to cut the hole and the windows just screw together from each side of the door.

GENIUS, I Think LOL, I've watched a dozen of these videos. You're the first person I took the door off to do this. Thanks Man!!!

Another video shows a hack where you install the window/shade upside down, leave shade 2/3rds closed, 1/3 open which is at the top of the window. Person inside can see out, person outside can only see the ceiling.

update, I did install the mini shade window, and it works

I installed this window in my door because the previous one had no shade but I would be much happier with no window altogether. But you did a fantastic job on the cutouts

Just got mine delivered and this is my weekend project. I’m fearing cutting into the door. I noticed the problem you spoke of about the shade. Found a company that makes a sideways closure that allows opening and closing without screen interference. Just don’t see dropping another $100 into just the door again. Clozures is the company if anyone is interested. Thanks for the vid.👍

I'm sorry if I missed it but how many inches down did you put the window from the top of the door?

Did you just trace around the window frame or what exactly did you trace around?
