They’re hoping it'll replace the Army's UH-60 Blackhawk.
With the ability to transport four crew members and 14 troops, the V-280 Valor can carry a load of more than 12,000 pounds, and can reach speeds of 280 KTAS with a combat radius of 800 NM.

oh i see, they cut down on moving parts for more engine output. (aka the made is so propeller stronger and more durable)

Really hope they don't cancel the program or something also I hope the pick the Valor it looks cool and seems to have more range. they could replace the the v22 with this as well that would be cool. Another thing that would be nice is if the s 97 was used for the special forces instead or as a light attack helicopter but I do not control these things so we will have to see. For now we have the apache and black hawk which should be good for a long time.

Looks like a blackhawk and an osprey had a baby and it came out ugly

I don't know a lot about this kind of thing but I can't imagine this aircraft replacing the Blackhawk. I have no doubt that it has its place in the military and on the battlefield but the two aircraft just seem pretty far apart
