One of the worst feelings is to feel lonely in a crowd. Another is to be lonely because you don’t have anybody to take that loneliness away so it just festers and becomes a pain in your heart that aches every day. I’ve experienced both. :(

I relate to the first girl so hard. I can’t help but feel like an outsider when I’m around other friend groups, and I feel scared around them as well - ‘What if they abandon me? What if they betray me? I can’t trust them. I can’t get close.’ - Those are my thoughts whenever I think about joining them. I never truly feel accepted, I just feel like an outsider looking in.

I can definitely relate to the right side. Just because we have friends and are popular, doesn't always mean we're not lonely. This song is therapy to me during times like this.

Having a lot of 'friends' can be just as lonely as being alone because you're juggling multiple people. So that time spent with each tends to short and superficial. So each relationship is like cotton candy, mostly air and sugar. Nothing complex and after a while you desire something more complex.

1. I'm basically that person, it's hard and you constantly see people having fun and you feel left out. Sometimes you may have friends and still be the first person.

I can relate to the second one. It hurts knowing the people you thought you knew, talk about you. It especially hurts when you realize that no one would look for you out of a room full of 10 people. I'm still putting on that fake smile and continuing each and every day

As someone who’s very quiet, and keeps to herself, I have a bunch of friends! But I’m always the one to get left behind. I’d like to say, I’ve known these girls for years. The sad thing is, as the group expands; everyone else seems to fit in better than me. Someone who’s been there longer. It hurts like a stab in the stomach.

i can’t put into words just how much i can relate to the left side. it hurts and feels like you can’t do anything besides watching them, envy them for not being lonely. truth is however we don’t know how they feel and they just might feel lonely as well

I sit alone at lunch reading and there’s always this group of girls in my class walking by me laughing and spending time with each other. And I want to at least have one person to be friends with or at least hang out with but nope :’D
