The food quality control in Japan is super top notch. I have been there for 2 weeks in 5 different cities and surprisingly, I could not find any food that was bad at all (whether it's from a convenience store, news stand's sandwiches, bullet train food, random restaurants, Disney land or even restaurants that were empty but had amazing lasagne). Maybe I got lucky but in my 2 weeks impression on the food there were amazing.

I’m so jealous of japan’s and korea’s convenience stores!!!! Feels like you can easily find healthy and interesting lunch options. Here you can find 3 day old bologna sandwiches.

I used to love 7/11 curry, I would also pick up some of the sausages they had and add it as well as a steamed bun. Good times.

Edit: To answer why I don't get it anymore. I moved back to the US.

Food from japanese convenience store is soo good. We ate like every night after going out all day and ot was perfect way to relax after a busy day

I am not Japanese but I was born in Japan and I lived there for a while after that. Even though I was a kid I still remember how beautiful it was over there❤️ everything was amazing and I would do anything to go back and relive the memories❤️ I am 21 years old now and I hope I get the chance to visit again someday if I get a visa🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

I was surprised when I went to 7/11 in Japan and saw they had a Microwave and small little table by the big window and I just sat there and ate some Bao Buns and curry - it was great.
