Purchased this guitar a few years ago and spent a few months rebuilding and restoring this one. what started as a simple refinish became a full rebuild.

If you like guitar building content and an awesome guy, please like, subscribe and comment on my vids. I try to answer most questions!

Rebuilding this guitar took me about 12 months. What was supposed to be an easy project became a full on take apart and rebuild. What a total pain. This is the full rebuild, enjoy!

pretty amazing restore, and even more incredible that he did it in just over 16 minutes.

It's not even my guitar but my heart started beating really hard when he popped the neck off!

That wood around the binding at 3:18 could very well be factory. I have seen some horrendous stuff on a few Gibson's that should have never made it out of the factory. You did an awesome job giving it a new life by the way.

That’s one of the best looking Les Paul’s I’ve ever seen. You did a great job with it. Love the finish.

I've been a Luthier since 1977 ( I was 15). I worked for 4 yrs for a guy that made Cello's and Violins, then I began my own repair business.
I just watched this video, and I'm really impressed with your work. It's nice to see a young person continuing the tradition. Best wishes!

People often say: "if I could turn back time, I'd do something different..." - I work as an electronics tech, absolutely love working in the trade with a if I could turn back time and do something different, I'd do this. Building guitars is one thing - restoring them is a different kettle of fish. There's a lot of blood, sweat and tears but the end result is worth it.
That's some great Craftmanship skills you've got there mate! Many thanks for sharing this video....that Gibson looks better than a bought one!
+1 to you sub list btw! :)

I love it when someone brings a guitar like this back from nothing, "trash" into a Guitar that'll be cherished and used for a long time to be.
