The team of Murphy labs are now chasing tornadoes to further developing their relic jobs.

I live in tornado alley. It's amazing that anything was left. This has to be the coolest stories I've heard in a long time.

Really like the Goodwill resto he did for Matthew Scott. That guitar was worn out big time.

Awesome they left all the battle scars, such character, and will gain more with hopefully years ahead of it on the road.

Nice work by J W restorations. Definitely has some mojo and a cool story. Nice of Joe B to donate parts to the project.

Matthew Scott's channel is great. Matthew is a very skilled player and the feel is very genuine. Dude rips on guitar.

Since Jared only has epiphone signatures, the Gibson Murphy lab should do a limit run of dorthey's, like Jerry Cantrell's new signature.

Sad that Trogly didn't want to name Matthew, or give a link to the episodes ... (A bit too 'businesslike' not to have made that connection for viewers, in my opinion !)

Tornado: "Les Paul, you're going down!"

P90s: "Hold my beer."

5:06 To quote Doc Brown, "Great Scott!" Trogly, you could give Matthew a shoutout, ya know...he deserves it!

"This is such a cool story. And like others on here, I'm really happy they left all of the tornado scars on this beauty. So VERY COOL!

Hey! Just now seeing this. The shot at 8:47 I filmed in Nashville and sent to Jared! Loved this video putting the whole story together. Such a special guitar!

Wow, this is probably the most impressive resto I have seen given the starting condition. Because the history, the story, and the provenance of the guitar, I don't even think this will take all that much of a hit in value. At least not over time. Tornados are a part of Americana and I think there are collectors who would pay a premium for this guitar. Collectors will always pay more for a good story.

I remember that storm.... it's only 45 minutes away from me. I actually live 5 minutes away from Dorothy's grave.
Yes L. Frank Baum the author of "The Wizard of Oz" had a niece named Dorothy. Oddly enough a tree near her grave was struck by lightning 🌩.
They carved the trunk into the likeness of Dorothy from the film.

I was waiting to hear about the original bridge/tailpiece. Dorothy had no visible screw holes for either on the top, yet was restored with a bridge requiring two posts. Was the original bridge just glued on?
