I'm 15 and me and my mum are getting evicted today and moving into a hostel. I hope to look back on this comment in the future and be in a house. Wish me luck.

My family has been in temporary accomodation for about 13 years now. My mother had an accident at the beginning of July and now all three members of my family are disabled. Before we were in temporary accomodation we all lived in one room in my grandmothers house (twice) because we were homeless. I've been legally homeless for more years of my life at 26 than I have been housed.

In the UK it is illegal to discriminate against someone because of their religious beliefs, it is illegal to discriminate against someone because of their skin color, their country of origin, their gender, their sexual orientation or if they are disabled. So why the heck is it perfectly legal for landlords to discriminate against someone because they have a low income and are on benefits, and why are people doing absolutely sweet jack all about it? People should be marching in front of Westminster shouting the damn place down until every politician in the place has their ears ringing.

This is crazy £210 a week for a tiny room. I lived in supported housing for 1 year, came fully furnished studio flat. £19 service charge a week so could use as much water and electric as i wanted.
But rent was £180 a week

The woman at 1:53 has a new born baby? Why are you having children if you can't house them?

Sincerely wishing a speedy home for all in need of that' and strength to cope meanwhile. It is a dreadful situation to be in as I know fully. Stay strong. I left the UK over 20 years ago over various issues. Ireland is kinder in so many ways.

I don't want to sound callous but this temporary housing looks better to me then being homeless and sleeping under a bridge. Why not make the best of your situation and then work to get yourself and your child out of temporary housing?

Don't worry, one day you will definitely live in an enormous house. I do pray for you to have a great future.

The main problem is that the private sector refuses tenants on Housing benefit .

On last Friday the building I live changed ownership and on Monday all the residents received an eviction (section 21) asking everybody to empty the flats by the 13th of December, I have been reporting mould growing in my bedroom since July but I was ignored ! That’s in Manchester 2019 AYTON COURT. Poor people have no chance anymore to live decently, I now rely on the council to rehouse me as everybody else in my building. There is not a protection to tenants as the government and laws are protecting the rogue nasty landlords

You don’t know these peoples circumstances, maybe they can’t find work, maybe your nasty comments serve your own situations but the way people automatically assume the poor are lazy or undeserving of help is exactly the reason why the divide of rich and poor will continue to grow till there’s only the mega rich and the rest of us grovelling for scraps weather we are working or not .

Lol. She can't share a bed with her daughter. She probably has shared her bed with loads of of guys. But that's ok. They were right to offer no other option. I worked with homeless. I've seen the extreme pain they suffer and this woman objects to sharing a bed with her own child.

Every government, council, housing association should be responsible for the housing shortage and sent to jail. Also, every single mum issued a shelter on faulse claims must be evicted. Simple. If no one knows how to go about executing an investigation, call me.

Landlord wont take no1 on benefits, if landlord sees money transaction and see benefits, they'll reject u. They have high demands and some even ask for employment address and confirm employability and how long.

So all the British people are living in such conditions and not priority for housing while the immigrants get the best housing and support. Question is Why? Why government put own people that want to live here work put them in such situations?

Building houses is like printing money, I met a housing developer once he would convert a Building into flats each flat would cost £40-50, 000 to build he would then sell each flat for £350, 000. Its unethical, this is why there is no affordable housing, GREED.
