Pixel buds are smart buds which Airpods are not. Feature drop on Pixel buds makes it much more exciting product

I think the pixel buds have the best navigation out of all wireless earbuds

Perhaps the sound quality is different while on phone calls, but in the mic test comparison, it was apparent that the Pixel Buds were better. So I was definitely surprised when he said that the Airpods mics were "way better". Again, perhaps the difference occurs more while on an actual phone call

Lol takeaway of the year - if you have an iPhone, go with the AirPods, if you have an android go with the pixel buds.

I've had my buds for around 7 months. I've had ALL the problems other users have complained about. Drop outs, unpairing But I still love them! They work perfectly for 99% of the time. Most of the issues can be resolved with restarts/reboots etc. I wear them for extended periods without any discomfort. They sound great even without active noise cancellation. The gesture control are great ( can be triggered by a hoody though) and I actually feel like I'm getting some useful use out of the Google assistant now. Couldn't live without them.

I disagree with the Airpods being more comfortable. When it comes to any of apples ear buds it really depends on the shape of your ear. I can only wear AirPods for about 15 minutes before my ears start aching.

I personally found the Apple airpods to get uncomfortable fairly quickly. I haven't had that issue at all with the Pixel Buds, or practically any earbuds with interchangeable tips. I assume I wouldn't have any discomfort with the Apple airpods pro either.

I would actually put the Pixel Buds on par with the Airpods Pro.

I have both (airpods pro though). I mostly use my pixel buds. The gesture control is far superior though it could sometimes get a bit uncomfortable after long time use. I returned the latest airpods for the pro . For the price and everyday use I love the pixel puds . I rarely use my pro now. Most of the time They connect seamlessly for me as well

For the microphones, I think it should be mentioned that the Pixel Buds separate sounds to filter out unwanted noise during your calls and focus on your voice. Listening to the comparison I thought the pixel buds definitely pulled your voice out more while the air pods it almost seemed louder while your voice being quieter.

Are the pixel buds 2 comfortable in terms of fit even if I rest my ear on the pillow? I generally hate in-ear headphones so I wanted to ask you if they clog up a lot and give that sense of muffling typical of in ear

You forgot one thing though:
The pixel buds have a really good sound surpression during calls.
Even load noises like car sounds or working on the construction site are filtered out perfectly.

I loved first gen pixel buds because they weren't in your ear and let enough ambient noise in to my liking, but hated the fact they weren't true wireless
I love my 2nd gen pixel buds because they are true wireless ear buds but hate some of the problems I've had with them but they still my babies
