There is more to "Agar Tum", than just what is being mentioned. Tara is the guiding light (clear, strong, unwavering voice), whereas Ved doesn't utter a word no voice, just instruments playing after the Tara's verse. After the second verse from Tara, Ved's voice has an echo (one voice stronger than the other), depicting the split exitance of Ved, confused voice. As the song progresses, the weaker echo in Ved's voice gets stronger, and only signs the words "Agar Tum Saath ho", calling out for love, as song ends. In the movie the full song isn't picturised.
Tara's voice is Love (Purity and Holiness) and Ved's voice is confused, muddled, not knowing what it wants, ending up realizing what it wants towards the end of the song and calling out to Love. Like in the movie, Ved finds himself through Tara.
