I've been a fan of Iron Maiden since the 80's and Nicko is still one of the best drummers ever. Good luck with everything you do in the future

End of an era. Nicko had been drumming for Maiden since the year I was born. <3

Also, I'm slightly more happier about his retirement, knowing that he got this send off, rather than being in a Doctor's Office with them saying "no more, your done".

Nicko always said he'd be happy for someone to replace him, so Maiden lives on.

Absolute top drummer, looked almost embarrassed at the fuss. What a humble guy. Legend 👏👏

My wife and I were there!!!
We are both great fans of the band and if was a very emotional night for both of us... It's sad to see this amazing drummer retire from playing live, but we understand what a privilege it was to be there, when history was made!

Up the Irons!

I remember Nicko on Eddie Trunk's radio show, just after his 65th birthday IIRC, and he said about retirement "If I can't physically do it anymore, I'll step aside, . And if the band wants to continue, that's fine, Maiden is much much bigger than me".

God bless Nicko, he's a man of his word.

Greetings from the UK...My very first ever gig was Rush, February 13th 1978-Leicester here in the UK, i was 17...My very first Iron Maiden gig was October 6th 1979 at The Boat Club here in Nottingham.I`ve been a lifelong fan of both bands since those days and seen both bands live at least 140 times each...When Rush retired i thought the whole world had ended, when Neil Peart died i was even worse and it was if an old friend had died..I pretty much feel the same about Nicko retiring but at least he`s not retired from recording so there is still hope...All the best Nicko, we love you.
