I was so happy to hear the emphasis on working with the direction of natural light when shooting outdoors using a strobe. It seems obvious, but beginners often don't hear this, and I remember trying to figure out why some of my early attempts felt wrong even when everything else seemed to be correct (balancing the light, separating subject, correct modifier for the effect I wanted).
Loved the inside images, and was especially glad to see your advice on overpowering the light and dragging shutter based on your intention for the final images. This is so helpful!!

I love the presentation. It was very clear and easy to understand. My favorite was indoor with hair light. It provided a warm romantic look complementing the ambiance of the fireplace.

On her hair in the indoor shoot there was a white balance mix from the gel and the natural light coming in, probably a tradeoff because of the shutter speed. Always like your work Ashley as well as your presentation.

The subtlety of the lighting on the outside shot is why I prefer it to the indoor. Both were well balanced, but with the outdoor shot it would fool a lot of people that it wasn't natural light.
