Fun Fact: To achieve verticle lift for a flying car that takes off vertically, you have to apply even more force to lift it. You have the weight of the vehicle forcing down, so you have to counter that with a lifting force that is greater than the force of it's weight. This means the heavier the vehicle, the more rotorwash people will experience when it lands or takes off. Enough that you'd probably blow over other flying cars if you tried to park right next to them like a regular car. To quote Niel Degrasse Tyson: _"We already have flying cars. They are called Helicopters."_
