The audio design in this movie is absolutely fantastic and is why I watch it yearly

I honestly love how real this felt compared to just a straight up laser beam. The flames, the flashing and the light bouncing off of the smoke. I feel like they used an actual flame thrower for that shot lol.

That triumphant Roar at 1:53 still gives me goosebumps. That was such an experience in the theatres

This was probably my favourite experience of watching a movie at the theatres. I went back to watch it at least 6 times and every time Godzilla was on screen was actually amazing back then.

Overall I probably prefer GKOTM and GVK because Godzilla is on screen more, but they never had the same on-screen feeling or presence that Godzilla had in 2014.

Gareth Edwards deserves all the praise for his accomplishment with this film. Was it perfect? By no means. But it completely revitalized Godzilla in Hollywood and it’s the sole reason we have the monsterverse right now.

I love how they chose to do a slow build up for Godzilla's Atomic Breath. The slow build up from the end of his tail and up his dorsal plates, eventually leading to the beam coming right out of his mouth. When I first saw this movie in theater, I literally scooched to the end of my seat as soon as I started to see the blue glow through the gloom of the battlefield, especially when it started on Ford's face.

Fun fact: the director made the mutos design based off Gigan and Orga from the Godzilla 2000 movie probably the reason why Godzilla killed the female muto like that is because Godzilla killed Orga in a similar way hence the
kiss of death

I remember these moments in theaters. Nobody knew if Goji was gonna have atomic breath or not. Watching this video helped me experience that wild butterfly feeling in my stomach again. Great video!

I love how you can see him taking a breath to expel the beam; normally you wouldn’t see that on a creature so big, but in order to expel THAT much energy in a single directed beam, Godzilla pretty much has to give himself a pep-talk and take a deep breath. It makes me think that by this point, he hadn’t used it for a while and so he was a little iffy on bringing it to bear on the MUTO’s, fearing maybe he might not be able to control it.
The music in this scene makes me think that it’s him finally realizing, after holding back the entire movie, that- “Oh yeah, _I’ve still GOT IT!”_

0:11 que felicidad me dio esto en el cine. Cuando vi ese brillo azul empecé a sonreír porque sabía que ese brillo azul solo podía significar algo.
Y que glorioso fue este momento, como se iba cargando de la punta de la cola hasta la cabeza con un genial sonido para luego disparar el aliento atómico. Y con una genial musica y con los relámpagos iluminando por segundos a Godzilla es simplemente bello
