A big yes on watching the design elements, and since you asked I would go lighter on the floors, on a practical level the dark will show every mark and piece of dust.

I want to see all of it - design, remodeling, outtakes, the singing - all of it. It's the highlight of my day :) Huge round of applause for the plumber. That looked like quite the job. As for the coving, it looks great. I hope all the future coving jobs go smoothly. I LOL'd at the "damn your eyes!"

The person who did all of the pipe work needs to be praised!!!! The attention to detail looks amazing. It is rare to find someone who puts so much effort as to make it actually look attractive. You are very fortunate to have such great contractors.

No stain. Keep it the light natural color with a clear finish. Our natural color floor are still beautiful after 36 years. The dog prints, foot prints, etc do not show on the natural color. Dark floors are a nightmare to keep clean looking. Good luck. You are doing great.

There are pros and cons to each color. The lighter color will help keep the room feeling open and light but has a more modern look. The darker color is more historic but will make the room feel heavier, more oppressive and will also show more dirt on the floor.

I had a 100+ year old oak floor which was stained dark walnut when new, because walnut was considered upscale at the time, and natural oak was "common". I found the floor always looked dusty in the old house. Eventually, I had it all sanded and refinished in a clear semi-matte stain. With the fact that the oak was 100+ years old, it turned out a beautiful honey oak color. I'm very pleased, and the floors don't ever look dusty!

I owned many houses with different floors, I remember all visible on the dark floors. With my love for my Persian gentlemen cats a curse. I had dark, light, whatever suited the age of the house. The house I live in now is only 74 years old, and I have a whitewashed floor. To be honest, you don't see a thing on it. Only drips of coffee are visible. And that doesn't happen that much. Don't go too dark, wait a little how you like it, you can always go darker, not the other way around. I do like to see you two work together.

At first I was just an occasional viewer, but your couple charisma is very infectious and now I never miss an episode.

17:56 - sometimes you cant get something perfectly perfect. for the gap that is in that corner, i'd just plaster it. no one is going to be looking with a magnifying glass at all your work, but i do like your standard of perfection. keep it up Louis!

I would go lighter on the floors otherwise your entryway will be too dark with the dark wood staircase. Keep up the great work !

I love your channel! It's so nice to see a young couple appreciate an old house.

My favorite would be to go light on the floor. You could darken it at a later time if you decide you don’t like the lighter stain. Happy times!

A BIG yes to watching the design elements PLEASE! That's always so tricky, so it would be fun to see your process. Cheers from the US!

Dark floors can be so dramatic, but they show EVERY spec of dust and dirt. I had one installed and while it was super pretty it was a lot of work keeping it looking that way.
