Those vehicles are not M113, just the appearance of the first models (FAES 10000 and FAES 10001) looked like M113s, since in reality they are demilitarized Woodmaster M114 tractors that El Salvador bought and converted into APCs, AAAs and IFVs, even an amphibious vehicle since the United States placed a military embargo on El Salvador, those are the Marenco M114s. I am writing a book about these Salvadoran vehicles and the American military advisors themselves were confused when they saw them, thinking they were M113s, hence the erroneous information that they donated M113s to El Salvador in the 80s, when it was not like that, only the base is that of a demilitarized M114, hence the engines, armor, etc. were manufactured in El Salvador, there was even a version that was going to have a 106 mm M40 cannon, the chassis was made. But the socialists stole the plans and it was not completed that it was the FAES 10000, they are not M113, they are the Marenco M114
