Hearts across the globe were warmed this week to hear that Princess Catherine has completed her cancer treatment, with Kate releasing a personal and heartfelt message stating that she has a "renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life".

The Waleses published a video featuring Catherine, her husband Prince William and their children George, Charlotte and Louis frolicking and playing games together in an idyllic setting - far removed from anything else the public has ever seen from the Royal Family.

Only 100 minutes later, Prince Harry and Meghan made an announcement of their own...

Having undergone aggressive chemotherapy as a young woman, I found Catherine's video incredibly uplifting. It took me back to a time when I, too, went for long walks in Christ Church Meadow, to improve my mood and heart rate, in recovery from chronic fatigue, post-treatment. I know it will give hope and faith to many cancer patients right now.They need to SEE light on the other side of the tunnel more than anything, and she is helping them to do that. 💕

Agree. I am an American married woman with a grown family. Princess Catherine’s video of her status was perfection. I don’t care what anyone else thinks. This private journey is difficult. I am a cancer patient. To me it was a celebration that She made it through. She wanted to show that the family was with her in this struggle.
The phrase about holding hands I took it as she now understand and she will use her power to do what she can to help make cancer lives better where she can through her charities.

When Catherine doesn’t comment, she is criticised. When Catherine edits her own photos, she is criticised. Leave her alone and show some compassion. Why should they do things ‘the old way’? If they did they would be criticised for being out of date. Those women are so annoying and ill mannered.

Princess Catherine is allowed to celebrate a HUGE milestone in any way she likes. This is a true celebration of life because she completed her chemo, and she's still here.
Can anyone imagine what would be happening if (God forbid) she hadn't survived?!?!?!?

Stupid Tessa, Cancer no matter where or what kind is bad . My husband battle 9 yrs of oral cancer and it was bad . I watched him go through 6 surgeries to his mouth and throat and 6 months of Chemotherapy. Not being able eat or really swallow. And lost so much weight as a result of it. It’s so hurtful to hear this person speak. I loved Princess Catherine’s video

As a survivor myself. Catherine put into words what happens to alot of cancer patients. It re arranges your priorities and give you a new look at life. It was clearly filmed in multiple days when she felt well enough. It was lovely and I am an anti royalist.

My rough, tough husband is a cancer survivor who chose not to talk about his cancer or the treatment. I am a Princess Catherine admirer, he has never said anything about Princess Catherine or any of the UK royals. We saw the clip on a news broadcast. He said “I know how she feels.” I was stunned. That is how her message reached out. I look at him in a different way now.
