I'm so sorry about Gidget. I'm sure she was such a treasure to your family. I'm fortunate to live near a 2nd & Charles and I drop by once a week. Last week there were literally BOXES of books outside the store in the free bin! I had to control myself!!

We love 2nd & Charles, and hope to go again one day. It is our favorite bookstore in Atlanta, and it is massive! If you ever get to Georgia we would love to book shop with you and maybe bring Noah along, too.

I have mostly been a fiction reader throughout my life, but it changes in 2022! You and Bill have inspired me to broaden my horizons.

I am very sorry about your little dog. We lost our 15 year old chihuahua back in January and I still miss him every day.

GRRR I knew it, every time I watch one of these hauls!!!! Now I have to get the 5 volume French Revolution series by Claude Manceron, never came across that series.

Peg: my condolences on Gidget. I lost a dog after 18 years, and it’s very tough. Hang in there.

As for the Manceron book on the French Revolution, please do read it. I have his complete set. He has a very unique style of writing, almost novelistic in approach. Quite entertaining, and I suspect after finishing it you’ll immediately scramble to find the other volumes in his series.
