Spawn Movie Has Been Delayed

jamie foxx and jeremy renner Spawn film has been delayed, with production now set to begin now, until June of 2019. this means a delay in the release as well.

Whatever you might have thought of the 1997 Spawn film adaptation, replacing Michael Jai White with Jamie Fox is like replacing Sylvester Stallone with Pauly D, or replacing Jason Statham with Russell Brand.

I can dig Renner as Twitch even though I expected someone a little bit older, but if it wasn't for Hurt Locker, Neo Ned, Dahmer, and The Town then I would have stern opinions. Jaime Foxx is the one I certainly have a problem with and I don't find him intimidating in the least bit. He's cool as Django and Staff Sgt. Sykes but as Spawn, hell no. Should've been Mahershala Ali or Idris Elba (who has openly expressed in wanting a bigger and better superhero role).

They should replace Jamie Foxx while they are at it. I still don't see him as Spawn.

Renner and Foxx are great, don't understand the flak they get.
Is it proper to call Jamie Foxx the "lead"? He's the title character yeah, but I thought Spawn was gonna be more of a background character in the film?

I was wondering about this film's production. He kept saying it got a low budget like 12 million or so. So i guess we wait and see. I hope it goes well. I'm still not to keep on Spawn being a side character. But if it's done right....who knows

I'm still waiting on the new animated series. I think he should've done a season of that first, just to reintroduce the character and build popularity. If this movie bombs idk if he'll still be able to produce the show. Then again I have no info on his funds.

Not very surprised seeing that the Venom movie was sort of successful a spawn movie would maybe feel a bit to simular to the casual moviegoers (not one of us)
