There are few things more powerful than the narratives we believe about who we are. When powerhouse pastor, Woman Evolve Founder, and NYT Best Selling Author, Sarah Jakes Roberts experienced trauma in the early stages of her life, the story she began to believe about who she was led her to a period of guilt, sadness and shame. But, she slowly started to listen to the inner voice that asked her to stop defining herself by a moment and to start seeing herself how God saw her. That choice not only changed her world, it would also change the world for millions of people who would experience God through her viral sermons and impactful presence.

How will changing the narrative you believe about your story, change how you show up in the world?

Listen as Sarah sits down with Gia for an intimate one-on-one conversation as she readies the release of her new book, “Power Moves.” Find out how she moves in the major calling on her life, and how a shy teen mom gathered all the pieces of herself to become a powerhouse faith leader.

The fact that they pray before they start says so much and I pray that I find myself in life where I pray on everything, I start no matter what it is, big or small.

I’m feeling like a stalker because I’m catching as many of SJR’s interviews promoting her new book as I can. So happy for you SJR and Gia.

When she said that she had to tell her younger self “you’re free to raise your hands to worship” really sent me 😭 Sarah’s testimony is really relatable for me and I thank her so much for her authenticity, she has helped free me on another level with this one

This interview is blowing my mind cause i understand everything SARAH is saying. When you get all your pieces back and look where you was and where you are. Trauma can make you feel you never gonna recover. But when you recover from trauma you just look at life differently

At my 33 year old age this conversation just made me feel seen as a little girl. I wasn’t as alone in my mind as I thought I was. This is soo good. Thank you God for leading me to listen and watch

Oh Pastor Sarah! I've never had you explain your childhood experiences in this way before. I am so sorry sis! I can relate to your story on so many levels, i got pregnant at 19by such a dysfunctional, immoral and an unbeliever period, But your story brings me so much hope! I want to end up just like you, or even better lol. I want to preach, walk in my fullest potential, reach out to girls like me whether younger or older, inspire, and do the Lord's work period. Im just finding myself now, but i am hoping for more with Jesus
