My 2001 Mercedes W220 S 430 has been wonderful so far. The previous owners replaced the front airmatic components a couple years ago and the new system came with a lifetime warranty. This thing rides like a dream. Additionally there is a fix for the drainage issue causing water to get in the cabin and in the dash area. Involves drilling a couple of holes in plastic.

I have a Acura TL no transmission problems or rust. It always starts with no check engine lights on with over 200, 000 miles. I have had the BMW e65 and it was a nightmare to maintain. BMW stood for BREAK MY WALLET!!!

He is talking a load of rubbish about the Mercedes S Class. An extremely reliable and a rewarding car to own and drive.

No car keeps you rich.
If you can afford one you buy one
They are machines and if you treat them well they serve you well
Get a bicycle if you cant afford one.

I've had my FoMoCo vehicle for more than 13 years. After correcting the wrongs prior to purchase, it never left me stranded thus far.

Scotty says S class is a money pit and everyone loves to bag the S. I beg to differ. Ive had my S350 for 3 years its done 190, 000Km. Everything works perfectly. Ive replaced the airsuspension on all wheels. Bought the air shock absorbers from E-Bay in America. My local mechanic fitted them for me. The whole procedure cost about $2, 200 AU. Absolutely no rust, no issues. Just servicing oil, brakes etc. The car is not a money pit, its a fantastic vehicle that is great for the whole family. Maybe Im doing something wrong?

When u go to other parts of the world....you will find Mercedes Benz cars with over 500, 000 miles or even more...this happen quite often. The beauty is that they are still up and running daily.

Just a point of clarification for your viewers....in your video the Mercedes S class that you referenced was body style W220 which ran from 2000-2006. The actual car you show in the video was an S550 (W221 body style) which came afterwards with production from 2007-2013. Having owned 3 of these cars I can tell you that a well maintained Mercedes will run for hundreds of thousands of miles reliably. Like all machinery, they require maintenance and I find that the common element to these cars having issues are the people who own them. They want the luxury or status appeal that these cars offer, but they neglect to do the required maintenance. I currently have over 253, 000 miles on my S class and I love it. It's very reliable and few other cars on the road can compete with the ride an S class offers for the money.

S class depreciate, sure...however, it was still a car that cost almost 100k new. It's still a beautiful car though anything this advanced will require maintenance. If you can't afford to maintain it, don't get one. Even if you spend $15k for a good one, it might cost another $7k to maintain over 3-4 more years...still would rather have than the boring $25k new cars out there.

I don't know why people say BMW's are horrible I have a 2007 328i that I bought in 2012 with a little over 88, 000 miles on it. I've driven that car from Colorado to southern Cali and back then too Florida then Georgia and back to Colorado. Almost 200, 000 miles on it and I've just done minor repairs tyre oil things like that. Bought a 2018 range rover supercharged lwb with 100 miles on it in 2017 now it has a little over 35, 000 miles on it no problems. Had a Hyundai excel and a Honda accord had nothing but problems with those cars.

That Acura is a light weight in this list of nightmares. Some of those come to mind are E60 M5, Range Rover's, or some of the Maserati's.

Every Vehicle has their pros and cons. Don't forget that. They not going to build a vehicle that don't break down remember that
