No matter how they built it it's an amazing structure with some very intelligent architects

20:50 --> About these tight joints that she say you can't put in even a pin inside them. Yes is true, but...

As a structural engineer I know what amazing craftsmen the ancient stonemasons were. But these joints weren't made so tight from the beginning.

These tight joints became so after the fatigue of the material, by "Creep" as it is called. It is a phenomenon, a very slow process that creates deformation due to material fatigue after many years under pressure. Of gravity in our case.

All materials "suffer" from this deformation but it takes hundreds or thousands of years for it to become visible, depending on the material and specifically its Modulus of Elasticity. It is the property of a material that shows how elastic it is under external pressures.

In stone structures, gravity compresses the material of each stone separately and decreases them in height, and the horizontal joints slowly close over the years. However, the vertical pressure simultaneously causes a horizontal deformation in the materials, in our case, the stones, so on the upright sides of each stone, the upright joints also close so that finally one stone comes and rests exactly with the one next to it.

For every millimeter of vertical deformation for loose stones, they expand horizontally by 0.2-0.3 millimeters, i.e. 0.1-0.15 millimeters on each side.

To better visualize this, say you made a plasticine cube and you squeeze it from the top, it will decrease in height but at the same time it will open up on the side and become like a burger. This also happens to stones but after thousands of years and it happens at a rate of 0.1 to 1 millimeter every 100 years depending on the material of the stone and the above load. Granite is one thing, for example, and Limestone is another. This percentage seems to decrease over the years, that is, as the years go by the material resists this phenomenon even more.

So, tight joints are not an unheard of issue, not something extraordinary. It forms naturally after so many years under the pressure of gravity.

"To cut harder stones like granite. The builders use a wet slurry of quartz, sand and metal saws. All of these methods were incredibly labor intensive and time consuming, yet the ancient Egyptians excelled in working with stone." 😂

I was wondering whether or not to invest in this channel. Now I have my answer. Whether you guys believe what you're saying or not matters none to me. The point is that you say it with perceived certainty. That right there tells me I am not receiving truth. Good bye.

Wow, probably one of the worst pyramid building documentaries I’ve ever seen 🤦‍♂️

Amazing presentation but… why do I believe only a few details presented here?

The pyramids obviously predate the dynastic Egyptian people

Absolute horse manure. Fairy tales with no proof. Wild imagination.

At the beginning of the video, we get this mythological explanation regarding the formation of the pyramids yet, as far as I know, there are no regarding the construction of the pyramids themselves.

One would think, if these structures were so significant since they are supposed to be the tombs of kings/pharos and not to forget that they are most probably their biggest architectural achievement, that they would at least try to document all related aspects regarding their construction.

It is completely obvious that whoever wrote and researched this episode has never traveled to Egypt, nor have they any comprehension of the geometry, mathematics, astronomical alignments, minerology and simple physics of the construction necessary to build such an enormous and perfect structure, such as the Great Pyramid. It's laughable, and choosing to pursue a conclusion such as this, not only discredits Wondrium's reputation, but shows how little actual study has been done concerning a topic such as this. For example: If the ancient dynastic Egyptians cut the granite stones used for the building of the pyramids and the obelisks with huge saws as you have stated, did they employ this same method when fashioning the diorite statues or vases made out of corundum, which are a 7 and 9 respectively on the Moh's scale of hardness? If not, what method was used to explain the exquisite construction of the stone artifacts which are polished so that they reflect light, such as the statue of Khafre in the Egyptian Museum which is made out of diorite, or the granite boxes in the Serapeum of Saqqara?

Cause there's ignorance everywhere

Nope. Wrong.

They used interior ramps. That's what the 2nd big room is for that's above the 1st one.

A guy in Michigan used a pebble He has no issue. Moved a barn by himself. Kings chamber corridor was a pulley path..worn out rock from the rope is visible ...the internal ramps were covered up during construction hiding them?
Those are best guesses

you can't cut granite with bronze. you melt it via magnification of the desert sun and pour it into molds letting it harden. this is far more conceivable than using a slurry and soft metal to somehow cut without chipping stone that is far harder than any tools they had access to. this also explains the voids and precise tunnels that show no tool marks you would see by digging/cutting

Why does everyone always ignore the obvious signs of power tools being used in many places? There are overcuts and drill holes everywhere. There are signs that there was a more advanced civilization in that area before the Egyptians, and also in many other places around the planet.

None of this happened. The Egyptians came along after they were built

Instead of ramps, its more likely that blocks were raised one tier at a time. Easy Peasy
