Admiral Trench is definitely won of the smartest side villians that we see in the clone wars

I always wondered why didnt trench fire a spread of lasers again once anikan deactivated his cloaking device to charge at trenches ship with those torpedoes behind him. I feel like he could have easily blown up both the ship and the torpedeos behind it
