NYU DC 3rd Annual Scholars at Risk Student Advocacy Day pt 3

The NYU Brademas Center and Scholars at Risk presented the third annual Student Advocacy Day at NYU Washington, D.C., for a convening of students and faculty who participated in SAR’s Student Advocacy Seminars at Sarah Lawrence, Carleton University (Canada), Illinois Wesleyan University, Roger Williams University, University of Iowa, University of British Columbia (Canada), and Mansfield University. The program included two days of skill-building and hands-on advocacy on Capitol Hill.

Students engaged in a full day of exploring best practices, small group discussions, and interacted with guest speakers to then put their training into action on Capitol Hill where they met with government and elected officials to make their case for the U.S. to support imprisoned scholars around the world.
