when you serve as hard as you can, and Andre takes it early, you are at his mercy

You can really see here just how mental his game was. Both shots he described were determined mostly by how it affects his opponent mentally. That way of thinking is what separates good players from legends. You can have the best strokes in the world but if you’re playing someone in the top 100, it’s simply not good enough on its own.

One thing Agassi was absolutely brilliant at was cutting off the angle and controlling the strike zone so he hit the ball in the same spot every time. Those quick steps and anticipation were as good as it gets. That's one of the biggest mistakes club players make is the strike zone is all over the place. They raise or lower the racquet according to the bounce because their feet are glued to the concrete. Find your best strike zone and move those feet to adjust your body to hit in the same spot every time. Your return will improve and become a weapon.

Said by the one with the best return of all time, well... you can trust him! :)

Excellent. Concise, like his backswing on returns. I got more from that 1:26 than other 30-minute videos. It was achievable as well. Well played Andre.

Still using a simple rubber band as a string dampener like back in the days...love it.

This is super helpful, have been using this strategy since the udemy course first came out years ago, that mental pressure is real

Very basic stuff. But also efficient information. I’m sure he could expand on specific types of serves and players that may be faced. Obviously, arguably the greatest returner ever in the history of the sport. What a difficult niche to choose. Out of all of tennis, I found the return of serve to be amongst the most difficult part of the game and at a point I really mastered some stuff on an amateur level.

Been using a rubber band as a vibration dampener for years now because I saw it on Agassi's racquet. It'll never pop out, feels exactly the same and costs a lot less. Thanks, Andre.

With all do respect to so many tremendous players, when you think "service return", you think of 3 names.... Connors, Agassi, Djokovic.

Perfect explanation... obviously... OH

Them shoes is fly. Agassi epitomized and embodied the moniker The Punisher. If only his movement, serve and power off the forehand wing could have improved marginally he would be regarded on another level of legendary.

copied from his udemy class. I don't believe you have the copyright for this, "Lisa at Nutrics".

You can really see how stiff Andre looks these days... he left it out on the court.
