I bought 30' of these covers and was going to return them because I didn't think they fit. Then I watched your video and know how to install them correctly. Thanks for saving me a trip.

Ive had these up for a few years now and still good. I overlapped the ends for stability, because they will sag at these points if you dont. I also installed mine screen side down. I feel that the plastic side up, the rain coming off the roof will catch the edges of the holes and keep the water in the gutter, opposed to the screen side up where water tends to slide over the gutter. Also a reason I put the screen side down is that the screen fabric has a lot of loose non glued edges. If I were going to put these screen up, I would put a dab of good silicone on a finger and run it along the loose edges to adhere the screen to the plastic underneath. I also use the downspout screens. No matter what type you use, you will eventually have to get the gunk that builds up in the gutter, Its the small dust and tiny dirt particles that get through. Its just sludge.

I bought these because it was inexpensive compared to others. They are easy. My only problem was that my shingles were tabbed down really well and a bit hard to lift. It was a cool day.. They'd come up easier when it's warm. You can also cut 1/2 inch off the end of the snap-in strip to make an overlapped seam.

I have valleys in my roof that come down to a corner there are splash guards to keep the water from over running the gutter. The issue I have is that this fills with debris and clogs the leaf guard and the water comes over the splash guards. How do I fix this?

Heavy rains, the water rolls of the roof and right over the screen. Doesn't get into the gutter. Had to remove the screen and that helped slow the run off over the gutter. Still have some run over.

I wonder if they will sag and pop out with heavy wet snow. Otherwise i think I'll give them a try. I pay 200 evry 18 months for a cleaning

I just dont understand what went wrong. I installed these slowly and precisely under the shingles and snapped them into place. They look consistent all the way across the gutter. There is a light steady rain outside and the water is just running off the roof, over the gutter guard and cascading down on the ground. Very little rain is being caught in the gutters. I just dont understand. And yes the gutters and drain spouts are cleaned out and not plugged. Unless I am doing something wrong, this product has completely failed for me. I have different gutter hangers then in the video that cannot be snapped back into place after the gutter guard is installed. I will have to check and see if the whole gutter has spun forward creating a pitch for the water to run over the guard. I also installed the roof side of the guard all the way under the first course of shingles. Perhaps that is incorrect? Anyone run into this or have any thoughts on my post? Thanks.

How are they holding up? Also, I think you're supposed to snip off an inch of the clip part on the ends and overlap the screens for stability.

It's now been six years since you've installed Amerimax gutter guards. How are they holding up? Have you had to clean your gutters since you installed it?

My roof is steeper than yours. The pinestraw collapsed the covers within a year. I cleaned them off once but the pinestraw just piles up on them because of that lip and because they curve in a little when I put them on because of the steep slope of my roof. Yes, I have them installed correctly, screen on top. Defeats the purpose of gutter covers if you have to clean off the gutter covers. Look at the Amerimax video. When he puts them on you see how they curve a little down into the gutter. This is where the pinestraw begins to collects eventually pulling the covers out from under the shingles and into the gutter. I have video...

not supposed to have gap, you should cut the square on the bottom. looks better and lasts longer.

Is is really a good idea to slide ANYTHING under the edge of the shingles? Wouldn't capillary action draw water under the shingles and onto the decking? I bought these same guards but didn't realize that you have to install them under the shingle edge. Will be taking them back.

Dude you’re going to have so many issues later on with those cheap filters. Get leaf filter instead and you’ll never have to worry about them rusting or warping in the heat

Stupid question but do you go under the shingle over the tar paper? Or under both?

So the screen is up and the cross cross plastic is down

In my case, water ran over them too much, but i only had 5 inch gutters. They may work better with 6 inch. They also fall down in the gutters occasionally.

have you had any heavier rains? that doesn't look too bad.

Are you still happy with them ? Or any bad review?

Haven't found them to be easy to snap in. If using the Amerimax hidden gutter brackets you need to notch the front edge to be able to use them and, as in the Amerimax video, they may be easy to cut across the filter material with a scissors but the snap-in edge is hard to cut.
