The state may not allow rebuilding the way citizens may want to. I'm guessing there will be different protocols this time around.

The Heart of America is with you! I encourage all who see the small part of this devastation realize the Intensity magnified many times more than what has been actually seen! I implore everyone who has seen or heard about this storm would Firstly Pray for the folks who call this area HOME! the devastation is every bit as bad and any war could produce. Please Pray for those who have to endure what is ahead. Please Help by any means you can! It's not only loss of possessions and livelihood! Its much deeper than that which most cannot imagine! What if it happened to you? Think on this and find some small way to support Our Fellow Man! Where ever you may be, you can do something. God less every individual who had to experience such an overwhelming Situation.

Having gone through a few hurricanes myself I can find real compassion for these people. The people on Sanibel, Captiva et all, have the money to live these despite knowing the risks. You don’t own property like that without knowing the risk. I do feel bad for them but the people downtown Ft Myers and other inland areas probably rely on their jobs on the islands. They are the hurting ones right now!

When we drive into our house on Apollo of McGregor it was heartbreaking. No one in our park had much left. I cried 😢
It was very toxic … the smell was overwhelming and wildlife dead all over our streets. The mold in the houses was unbearable, and that was only a week after the storm and it can only be getting worse

Once insurance pays out if covered, Will insurance cover these homes again considering many insurance companies were planning on leaving Florida.

It has been so heartbreaking here in Fort Myers. I don't want to live here anymore. It has effected me emotionally and financially. And I didn't get flooded. I just watched as all my neighbors got 5 feet of water in there house. All the appliances and carpet and photos all gone. Sitting on the side of the road. I don't think building here again makes any sense. But that is a personal feeling. This has been so so hard.

Oh my goodness! That is extremely dangerous to even think of rummaging through due to nails, exposed metal, and even glass…I imagine it is a dazed and confused state for them. More for a realistic closure instead of the torture of not knowing.🙏
