1:30 Brian Y. Hwang- I went to One Station Unit Training (OSUT) with this guy; this was around Christmas time of 2015 @ Fort Benning. All the Drill Sergeants (DS) were astonished, yet perplexed on why the heck he decided to go enlisted as a neurosurgeon. I'm glad to see he's doing okay, and if you're reading this Doc, it's your Korean buddy!! <3

It‘s my biggest dream to become a neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins one day. I‘m from Germany and I know that it‘s going to be really hard to reach that dream but I will keep fighting for it👩🏻‍⚕️

I’m still in highschool (15 years old) and I really want to study medicine in the us and It’s my dream to become a surgeon but Idk if I could be one because of financial problems. The world needs more medical people but the tuition fees are so expensive, one of the flaws of the education system.

Long road. Advice now 13 years into neurosurgery: work to live, do NOT live to work.
I love my job but don’t let the more important things get in the way: family, etc etc.
