a friend remind that you just probably cut off the footer of the door that will make door bottom hollowed, even nobody will carefully check it, but pro way to restore the footer cap

Cool. How do you secure the door to the saw horses? Or is that not necessary? I have to do this on about 5 doors and have never used a circular saw before so I’m nervous.

Looks quite easy but I haven't got a circular saw. Can I do it with a plane manually ( A hand plane) ??
