This is SO GOOD. 100% efficient, no time wasting. Very much appreciated. Will subscribe.

Should we veer off the cut line at the end of the cut as well and cover it with sand paper and hope no one notices?

If you cut the top and the bottom, then you have to relocate the hinges. Otherwise you will just have a gap at the top... I like the "score the cut line first" idea though.

Thank you! Just renovated my bathroom and the vinyl planks are noticeably slowing the closing speed. You rock!

Would help for people not used to being handy to tell how you measured, and where in regard to your line the saw blade should be. Also would be helpful for new people to mention saw blade depth and adjusting that. Do you need to tape the bottom, or score it to keep the bottom from being ripped out?

Thank you for this! I had tile put in my laundry room and the door no longer fit. I have been dreading 'the trim' for months but successfully completed it today after watching your video. The cut was straight using your method and the door fit perfectly!

I'm not very handy, but I followed these instructions and it worked like a champ!

Thank you!

A word of caution. These new "Masonite" hollow doors at Lowe's and Home Depot do not have an inch and a half of solid at the top and bottom. I just hung two as bypass doors and when attaching the roller brackets at the top I hit empty void at 11/16"so I'm guessing we have a 5/8" board at the top. I had to use only the top screw holes on the bracket and not the bottom holes

I tried this method running long ways & jacked up 2 doors was horrible the bottom is easier to work with but long ways about half way through blade wonders now going to try electric planer hopefully will be better off then saw.

He didn't even follow his edge guide at the end - so why even have it???

What if you need to cut 10", how do you fix the visible hollow opening? Fill the gaps with blocks and run edge banding over it? Or move the off-cut frame piece up to desired size and glue it on? Or fill the gaps with aerosol foam insulation then cover with polyester resin then paint? Which method is best and is there another better method?

What about cutting long ways (from top to bottom)?

I like his cut walked away from him by 1/4" at the end

If you cut too far can you fix it with an epoxy hard setting wood filler or something?
