Geometry – Area of Composite Figures (HD)

The BEEometry pollenates poetic – with an exploration of the area of shapes INSIDE other shapes! That's basically what composite figures are. So you're invited to calculate the area of composite shapes, with the help of our tight-knit summer school bunch you hear in the video.

(BEE pun time...) We conceptually "fly high" here, making the process as "sweet" as possible. We discuss the apothem, regular shapes, circles, and bring it all together with one deep problem. YAY MATH!

at 12:35 couldn't you simplify the two groups i.e 16 pi to or 50.27 and 12 root 3 to or 2.29 and subtract from there to get or 47.98? or do you have to leave them the same?
