SpaceX Will Send Humans To Polar Orbit!

SpaceX stays BUSY! Yesterday they announced they'll be launching 4 people on a historic mission over Earth's poles in late 2024.
Dubbed 'Fram2', this will be the first human spaceflight to explore Earth's polar regions.
Here's everything I know so far. I am trying to get an interview with crew as well :-)

Thank you for supporting my channel.
My channel started as a way to keep people up to date on the world of SpaceX's Starlink, the satellite internet service. The channel has grown to include the broader Elon Musk universe.

Wow, all these years of space flight, and nobody has completed a crewed polar orbit. Thanks for covering this.

Very fitting with a Norwegian astronaut and celebration of the polar exploration of Amundsen with the ship Fram.

Congratulations from your neighbor in Sweden!

Wait- an entire crew of quantifiably appropriate, mission capable people?

In 2024? Inconceivable!

I happen to live where the Fram polar expedition ship was built. The ship was constructed by the inspiration of a piece of soap clenched between his hands and the soap made a leap of faith across the table, that's our ship he's told them and that's how they could camp out on the dangerous ice flakes. How nice it's to see they have a norwegian (again) on the first mission to the Arctics.

I rely on your coverage since I don't have time to try and keep up with every thing space new related. Keep doing what you do. Good to see another private mission.

The vision of this Fram2 mission is so cool and it'll further add to SpaceX's ever growing crewed flight heritage.

These are huge achievements by SpaceX in the era that made our space dreams a tangible reality.

Orbit the Poles? Makes me feel like the center of the world now :) Greetings from Poland

Living on Svalbard, she will practically only go up, as she lives close to the North Pole already. Also, very fitting for a Norwegian to also visit the poles from a "spaceship" now.

One of my favourite places btw.

6:04 .. his words are correct. It does feel like a new Gemini program.

The upcoming mission especially.

I can’t wait until they have two Polaris missions up at the same time, attach tethers to each of the spacecraft nose cones, spread them out 1000 feet apart, and then counter rotate using rcs thrusters in order to spin up and create “artificial gravity”.

I’m sure Gus, John, and the rest would be very proud.

Your pronunciation of Svalbard was spot-on.

The footage will be amazing especially the auroras and Antartica.

Fun Fact: Vostok 6 is so far the highest inclination ever reached by a human in orbit. Valentina Tereshkova's spacecraft reached an inclination of 65.1 degrees.
