If it needs a subscription that's an automatic no buy for me

Come on.. LORD of the Smart Rings. How did CNET miss that one?

I won't even consider something that needs a constant subscription just to use features you have paid for in the product.

Needing to pay monthly to fully use the thing you bought is wild

Switched from the Oura ring to the Ultrahuman Ring Air a few months back and couldn't be happier!! Surprised that ring wasn't mentioned during the comparisons.

Really excited about this, already want to preorder. Of course I won't if they make the mistake of putting on subscription charges

. I wonder if the pre-order on July 10th will yield the ring by august. Anyone know?

Knowing Samsung, it'll have 1.5 of these 3 features... And we'll have to wait until the Galaxy Ring 3 before they address them all

The choice of my next phone will depend on that ring

WOW! all very possible functions. With all that (and no paywall) would sell SO much.

I believe you Oura is good but paying for a subscription is really stupid I prefer not to pay every month for a ring

I’ve owned the Oura ring since the first gen & I can say I’ve found it very useful. It’s only gotten better with 3rd gen. During the pandemic, the ring knew I was sick before I showed/felt any symptoms. I was impressed by that but the sleep tracker has to be my favorite feature by far. I’m excited to see where this space in wearable tech goes & glad Samsung is joining in. Hopefully the competition spurs even more r&d in this area.

I think in a sense paying with your Samsung galaxy ring is definitely wishful thinking at this point but it would be pretty cool if it really did happen when the ring drops sometime in August

how much tech do you want to fit in a ring

I’m starting to think we’re in a gadget crises. Our smartphones are the ultimate gadget that replaced so much! The watch is the best gadget. In the future, smart glasses will play a role. A ring? Sorry Samsung and Apple, I’m already married!😂

Its unlikely but I would love to see smart rings to be able to store music and can be connected to Bluetooth headphones. I hate the idea of having a screen when being active.

Can the ring be elastic. Sound like pain to constantly charge it
