after you've done the set up you don't have to do it again. save and just change the second one back to ride mode and go to your boxes hit x, x, l and take the item again. repeat those steps as many times as you want, also you can change the item after you have it set up and get most anything you want

The method to create the glitched legendary is no longer possible after it got patched, BUT if you still had the glitched legendary in your party or in your box then you can still duplicate items in the current version of the game.

You cannot get banned for this, this is an exploit that the developers themselves caused in their game (not intentionally), this is not a hack, a hack is when someone mods the game and uses third party software to get everything they want

if you end up not duping the item and dupe your legendary it’s because when you put the item on your pokémon you didn’t get on your legendary and put him back in the party. this for some reason makes the glitch work or not
