XML does have a gui design mode which jetpack doesn't. The design mode eliminates most of the need to write XML as it writes it for you when you select parameters in the gui. With jetpack compose, you have to write everything.

Great vid. Thanks for the explanation, but I'm confused cause I can do to the same reusable card/achieve scaleability by inflating an xml layout (reusable_card.xml) and adding it programmatically to a view/container. I must def be missing something. Is this a lot more performant?
