Hi everyone! This is an original fan-made soundtrack I made for Natlan’s volcano region! The reason why it is an original track is because the composition was entirely from me, no motifs were used from Genshin Impact’s original soundtrack! This is the second time made something like this, with Celestia Battle Theme being the first original track I made (link in the description if you’re interested!)

Before discussing the ideas behind this track, I have no idea what to put in the thumbnail as well as the still image for the video so I decided to just put a Pyro symbol in there since there isn’t any official arts yet for Natlan’s volcano region, so I apologise if it seem boring!

Now, the composition itself. I wanted to capture the atmosphere of the volcano by using several SFX, you can hear a subtle rock movements and/or lavas in the background. However, I have an imagination that the volcano region might share the same feeling with Dragonspine in Mondstadt. I personally think it’ll have that lonely isolated feeling in which I imagine it’s because the region was so dangerous it’s inhabitable. The usage of the ‘Abyss’ sounding piano indicates that we’ll mostly encounter Abyss foes in the volcano region. So basically this track is heavy on the Abyss elements like in Enkanomiya and/or Chasm but change those to a volcano!

Of course, my assumption above might be totally wrong but in the end, this is an original fan-made track by a fellow Genshin enjoyer that obviously does not have any access to upcoming Natlan contents haha so please do take this track with a grain of salt!

I'm hearing melancholy, sadness, agony and also the Fontaine's wibes. Like Natlan is "in love" with Fontaine, but since hydro🌊 and pyro🌋 are opposites they cannot be together and it's bringing a lot of pain for Natlan😢

That Natlan teaser was an unexpected one, tho from what some npcs tell us it seems that Natlan isn't really a war-torn state, which is reflected in the teaser. It made me remember that Natlan is coming in a few months LMAO
Anyways I see that this is an Original track, and to be honest you did well trying to conceptualize the Volcano theme of Natlan. You did a good job.

In Natlan, there was a side quest about Khaenrian warriors who fought the Abyss and died to save the region of fire. It seemed to me that this music perfectly describes their story.

Very interesting view of what the volcano region could be, Farabi-san! I'd really love it to be something like Dragonspine as you mention. And this composition fits that idea so well! I for sure love those spiccatos and the SFX

This is very interesting as a theme for Natlan's Volcanic region, its really good, and gives the idea of flowing lava and big waves of heat over the region. Its baren of life and regrownth, an area where life cannot be easily obtained, this region is lifeless only the strong willed can go through it and perhaps this might be where Capitano needs to go.
