I wonder what would happen if the trainer was backing up a bit, lost his footing and fell into the water close to the gator's jaws, Would the Gators natural predator instinct take over to attack take over because of the trainer was doing something it normally did not see .

For those surprised the alligator behaves this way:

1. He’s a very experienced and capable trainer
2. If an alligator learns that the best way to get food is to do what he says, you can bet they’re going to do that… why would he waste energy attacking someone he knows isn’t a threat and who gives him food regularly?
