SI 5 - Inaugural session - SI3 Volume release & Ashirvachanam by Sri Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Swamiji

Swadeshi Indology conference-5 titled ‘Karnataka Shastriya Sangita - its past, present and future’ held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore on 30th March 2019.
The initial part of this video has the release of the proceedings of SI3 which was held in Dec 2017 at IIT, Chennai.
A deep and insightful talk by Sri Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Jeer Swamiji. Speaking eloquently in Kannada, he highly appreciates Sri Mohandas Pai for his wonderful talk and recollects the atrocities of Tipu on members of the Melukote Iyengar families and how he destroyed not just individuals but the whole samskriti, sahitya and sangita. He narrates with deep pain the fervour to celebrate Tipu Jayanthi and the apathy towards celebration of 1000th anniversary of Sri Ramanujacharya on the part of the ‘secular’ Karnataka government. I do not know Kannada, but the great subtitle job helped convey Acharyan’s simple, strong, important message - PROTECT SANATHANA DHARMA & SANSKRITHI..

Am ashamed to have avidly watched that TV serial on Tipu Sultan when young. What a bag of lies it is !!

I agree and respect concept of sustainability and what we use should be biodegradable. But the book release event the material used to wrap the book was not biodegradable.
