oh my gosh. i get the loudest, most painful hiccups ever.My head & chest will actually start hurting because of it. ive tried everything..the breathing really helps.

I have used the ear trick for hiccups for 35 years and only seen in fail a couple of times. It works really well if you have someone stand behind you and push in on your ears to create a little bit of vacuum while you hold your breath and drink water, or just hold your breath. One thing though is, after you've held your breath, I've noticed if you start breathing too quickly they come right back. Even though you've been holding your breath, you have to exhale and then inhale slowly for a few breaths.

I'm really glad to know there is medical science behind it because people usually think I'm crazy for suggesting it, lol.

Big wow. I've been having an annoying hiccup for the last 15 min. I tried the very first advice of taking a deep breath, hold it for 5 seconds and taking another breath on top of the first one and hold it again for 5 sec. It worked! Unbelievable, but it worked immediately. No more hiccup.

I was breathing super heavy then POOF!its gone, the embarrasing part is im in a chair sitting, my bro is playing computer, idk what mom and dad are doing, then im like breathing like a psycho and my chest is like getting destroyed, PS:im not gelo loterte, im his younger brother, gelo loterte was the one playing computer

Sit staright, Take a deep breath, then again super deep beath, hold 5sec, on top of that again super max deep breath, deep breath.. exhale slowly.... It worked.. thanks for your useful video

I am going to share the cure for the hiccups that will end this symptom for everyone. Its called the Crash Position Technique. Basically you sit in a straight back chair. Once seated you cross your arms across your chest. You then SLOWLY bend over like in the crash position they tell you to get in when a plane is going down. Once bent over as far as you can you hold your breath and GENTLY squeeze your stomach muscle for a period of 2-5 seconds "like your trying to squeeze the air out" then release and breath out again. Do this two or three times then SLOWLY raise back up to a seating position. Everyone I have shown this technique to has see their hiccups disappear instantly. Please be advised I AM NOT A DOCTOR so do this technique at your own risk and care should be taken if you have any illness that can prevent you from bending over or holding your breath.
