Please can you analyze Joan Cusack in the Adams family. I'm interested on your take on how they created that femme fatale effect on her since she is known as a "comedy actress".

one of the first videos i saw about kibbe said something along the lines of "thats just showing that kibbe isn't limiting what you can wear, its just here to elevate how you look even more" and i never forgot it. im an edgy SC who likes streetwear, so i never really liked the cottagecore-esc things they recommended to my type, howeverrrr, the more i actually studied instead of just scamming sites for info, i managed to find something that matches my body while matching my style. im glad you've done this video, it took A LOT of time for me to find this balance and pratically no one will have the time/patience and interest to learn it, the more we can show people that kibbe doesn't limit you in any way the better ♥

Me? bingewatching all your video's before cleaning out my closet and creating a newly styled me....noooo

I am moving to another country and starting a new life. Your video's helped me so much in figuring out my essence etc. I also looked at my colours the most, I'm a soft/muted autumn. So I am getting rid of half my closet, it's insane how many items I actually didn't feel comfortable or secure in!

This is my entire. Life. I love edgy and quirky things with splashes of boho but I’m extremely busty and also plus sized so it conflicts with what I want and what’s available to me especially since I like to be covered up. Fit and flairs structured clothing professional clothing looks best on me 😭

Your concept of "creating an effect" is honestly so helpful to me!

And going off Kibbe concepts instead of total rules exact for my body type has also helped me. Like accommodating my petite-ness (short vertical) and my angles/yang dominance. (flamboyant gamine for reference)

This is so great! I feel like I make so many conflicting style choices with my body type, so I love this. I've been meaning to suggest a video on facial piercings/styling facial piercings and essences? I feel like that could be so interesting to dig into

This channel has helped change the way I view my body type/color profile/aesthetic choices! As a petite and curvy woman who is heading to a professional workspace post-grad, I realized I had no idea how to dress myself in a way that made me feel confident and exhibited my personality! I'm finally learning how to do it! (based off of the last few videos, my color season is deep winter, I am a romantic body type (kind of like hourglass but with wider shoulders), with style roots of moon, earth, and fire! Thank you Ellie-Jean!!!!

I'm a soft dramatic with moon as my primary style root, but when I'm more in the mood for a cute, "sun" look, my favorite accessory is a crochet bucket hat with huge daisy designs. It's honestly the first cute piece I've acquired that really feels like it suits me.

I'm a pure Romantic and with a Sun style root AND a Dark Winter. I feel like nothing matches with me, clothes I actually like to wear (colors too) always look off and I being all girly and wearing dark colors. Hopefully I'll find a way to dress better and in my style soon.
Anyway thank you so much for your videos, its really helping me a lot <3

Oooooh. Watching this I think I finally figured out how my roots seem to interact! I start with a Mushroom base (so usually classic pieces) but then either Fire or Flower will change the details to add a girlishness or a sensual element. And sometimes Moon will be layered on top in regards to a detail (dark color, leather element, unusual fabrics, etc.) With that in mind EVERYTHING in my wardrobe fits this layering. EVERYTHING. Wow... I feel like I've cracked a code, thank you.

I'm a R/TR Dark Autumn with Mountain > Mushroom > Stone roots. The number of things to consider has really cut down on my impluse purchases! Would love to see Romantics with Mountain styling!

I really like this video. I’m almost positive I’m a soft natural and have no idea what my essence is. Still my style roots are moon and earth so I think I prefer a bit of edge to the plainer styles I see with some soft natural examples. I like your systems because as someone who has always felt very plain and mannish in build learning how to dress for my body and my season and working my style preferences into that really lets me see how I’m not unattractive just not dressing for myself. I hope you’ll cover soft naturals at some point.

This is super helpful! It gives so many more layers than just "this is your body type. Good luck". Can't wait to implement this system into my shopping 🌼

I probably have a classic body type but I am dramatic my self. Thankfully I think I might actually be dramatic classic, which helps, but thanks to Sarah Burton's style for Alexander McQueen I believe I have found my inspiration. I actually loved the original style of Alexander McQueen (he was my favourite designer) but his work was far too intricate and flamboyant for me to pull off, instead she has combined maximalistic aesthetics with actual minimalistic designs (eg the shoes or their new bucket bag) and more classic silhouettes. Other rock, dramatic and chunky designs that I believe classics can wear are the prada sandals which are very big but have very clean cuts and an extreme black colour and their sunglasses collection. Of course when I mention the designer brands I also mean items inspired by them.

Gosh, Ellie-Jean, I am so grateful for your content. I’m graduating from undergrad and am in desperate need of revamping my wardrobe/style. I’ve been studying up on my body type but dressing for it has been so difficult!! But now I feel like I’m finally getting a hang of what works for me. I’m a Soft Natural, a True/Cool Spring, and my roots are Mountain + Earth + Sun. Now actually finding the time and money to put together a new wardrobe is the next challenge!

This was SO HELPFUL thank you. I'm a Dramatic Classic and have spent the better part of this week trying to work out how I'll ever wear comfortable clothes again 😂 my style roots are mountain, stone and mushroom, and it's the Stone bit that had me flummoxed. Now I realise I will probably have to buy some new clothes, but that I can be comfortable - they just need to fit me properly and be made in good quality comfy material. I'm also going to alter a bunch of my jumpers to make them more fitted, that's all they needed to be rescued from the donation pile - what a revelation to realise what actually works on your body, that always existed (potentially) in your wardrobe!

Omg, I'm romantic with moon style root (with a touch of fire) and I gravitate towards celestial pattern naturally I was shocked at how right the example was. I've been unsure recently whether or not I dress well and this really busted my confidence

actually, I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm on it
but this is gonna be quite a long comment (?)
so my friend typed me as a SD, and I kinda trusted her with that, but it didn't make any sense when I looked at myself or read recommendations for SDs
so I lived almost A YEAR with this subliminal self conciseness that I can't look at myself properly and my style and overall vibe is just not it, that I should be more like a SD
and then I found your channel and understood everything
I was a soft classic all along and I couldn't be happier bc now my preferences and style and intuitive choices are so valid
maybe it sounds stupid, but it is what it is, and I just wanted to thank you for your work and for returning confidence in me🤍

It's me, but more with colors. I'm a winter, I actually like brighter, bolder colors and they do look good on me, but my personality is usually more quiet and introverted, I like more refined styles such as cottagecore and dark academia and I feel the bolder colors can feel too bold sometimes or they don't match the style I'm looking for, where as the more muted, pastels and earth tones look awful on me...
