It should be mentioned that the Rx6400 is very reliant on PCIE gen 4

The 1650 is a very solid card. Used it in a HP Prodesk and was able to play most of the newest games at the time on high settings 1080p.

Should've mention that there are GTX1650 low profiles with GDDR5 vram, and they usually cost almost the same like the GDDR6 version. The GDDR6 version is obviously much better even though it'll only give a couple percent performance advantages, but, hey, they cost almost same

Note that there is a 10 to 15% performance difference between the GTX 1650 and the GTX 1650 D6.

Something most of you have to also remember that doesn't get mentioned much is that certain SFF computers like the OptiPlex 3040, 5040 and 7040 SFF models all don't have any room for anything other than a low profile SINGLE SLOT gpu. Emphasis on SINGLE SLOT. Many low profile GPU's like the A2000 are dual slot models and wouldn't fit into a single slot designed motherboard. The 3040-7040 SFF models do have a 3.0 PCIex16 slot to use, but the room in-between that and the power supply only allow for single slot cards. In this case, a 1650 low profile single slot card would actually be a better pick than the 6400 since the 6400 prefers a 4.0 PCIe slot to get maximum use out of it.

A380 smokes the 6400 and now has an LP version from asrock. Just as a heads up.

UPDATE: 4060, 3050, and the single slot Yeston 3050, are all better than the 6400. Current December 2024.

with the 6400 just know that if youre exclusively pcie3 (which i know some people are still stuck on) has way worse performance compared to running it on pcie4.

Ignoring prices for a sec, there is always the RTX 4000 which is essentially a cut down 4080 with more VRAM and 75w.

The A2000 Nvidia was quite a bit higher performance even when this video was released.
And yes, some usages DO need that low profile GPU *AND* the performance - even at the higher cost, but LOWER power consumption.

I bought a second hand 1050ti LP for €50 euros. For a budget build in Spain honestly that is quite a lot of performance for not much money. Turn down the settings and you can play almost anything, with a e3 1271 V3 and 16GB of ram I'm about €100 euros in total which in my opinion is a bit of a steal

I recommend a nvidia t600 because its 50w, single slot, and also its just a little less powerful than the 1650 hope this helped 😅

I just got a 6400 and it works awesome on a hp elitedesk sff. I even had a review on that on my channel

I love the a2000 in my system, though i lug it to work every week, so low profile, low power is a plus on top of its performance.

RX 550 and GTX 750 TI are also good if you want a low profile low cost card.
