If Ukrain did know the limited USA support they would never have war with Russia.

Bollox, Ukraine defended their airspace with old ex Soviet AD systems for most of 2022 to keep the VVS out of reach apart from Russian long range missile attacks and later drones. Western AD equipment is much better but only started arriving v late in 2022. OK, some stingers but not enough. Just send the planes now!
