Lots of great work, and had to laugh about the old guy stopping and chatting, hehehe never stop learning and seeing new ways to do things, idea for the mound at the bottom is a great idea.

Great person to follow for veg etc gardening and ideas is Charles Dowding. He does no dig if you’re interested. Amazing amount of knowledge. Love to see someone so young getting into it. Brilliant job!

Yes, definitely keep that Purple Deadnettle around: It's the king of plants! It's one of the few flowering plants around at the start of Spring so is a big help to local bees and other pollinators. It's tasty food, good medicine available even in Winter and it's excellent to smoke... And I've been growing right on the edge of a garden lawn for years. I've never had too much trouble with the grass expanding into my crop fields. It's not a problem at all.

Really impressive transformation from day 2 to 3 on your filming... Inheriting non symmetrical beds is one of the most stressful things about inheriting our plot haha

Hello from Canada! I’m watching snow fluttering right now. Very envious that you’re out in the garden working. I’m impatiently waiting for warmer weather, so I’m getting my fix by watching you. Great work. What is the name of that deep weed you removed? Not sure we have that here. Looking forward to your next video.

Looks like you’ve got good soil there!! Look forward to following your progress oh and clover makes great paths … it doesn’t grow high, good for bees and great for low maintenance

I might be wrong, but we used to call that a shovel, it was easier to dig with a spade, a good sharp spade will make it much easier to break ground, one good dig then just mulch?
