Hello 🌷 I finally have my own allotment plot.. and here is it! (I know.. there's a lot of work to be done... 😵). If you're interested in this allotment plot journey please do subscribe and comment encouraging things! It's going to be tough..

For anyone interested -
🌷 I went to visit the site on the 24th of January & filmed this first day of work on the 27th
🌷 The plot is around 5.5m x 12.5m and the greenhouse is 8x6 ft
🌷 I'm based in South Wales
🌷 I've been gardening for about 3 years from my tiny patio garden.. so this going to be a big step up!

I would have picked this plot too, not just because of the greenhouse, but all the usable material as in bins, netting, canes and pots, which all cost so much these days. I have subscribed to watch your journey.

It’s disgusting that people who have a love for growing can dump rubbish on another plot. Glad you’ve taken it on!🌱

Once you spend half a day organising all the compost bins, tidying the pots. and clearing the greenhouse, it will look 100% better.... then the dead vegetation ( don't strim cut it to control seed drop ) you will soon see progress... One bed at a time...

I bought allotment last year and my family and friends saw the state of allotment which was really bad. They told me to gave it up as believed I couldn't do it. I refused to gave up cos I want to push my limits with my vision of allotment. Few tidy up and move about, pick up and destroy weeds. Now this year, building plots and cutting grass all ready for first sowing. My family and friends are surprised that I can do it on my own. 😊 you can keep your dream to come true. ❤

Wow very daunting and I’m shocked the council let it get this bad. But I’m sure you will do fab, start slow clear areas as you go and don’t get overwhelmed. You will be shocked once you get tarted how fast it goes. Look forward to seeing your progress, Ali ☔️☔️🇨🇦

It's all there for you to utilise - it's just been very neglected. The compost looks great, the bins/buckets etc you'll find handy and there are some paths too. And your lovely greenhouse. More pluses than my site - real potential especially as you're obviously up for the challenge. Great to be able to follow your journey - keep posting please. Good luck!

Congratulations on your allotment plot.
I will be honest, your plot isn't in that bad state state all, compared to what I got offered in November (also my first allotment plot). I took it on there were no work done for over 6 years snd it was covered in crumble and small trees growing on it.
You can do it, just don't look at all picture, work section at time and before you know it your plot will look amazing. I can't wait to see transformations. X

Can't understand how plots like this are allowed to get so bad. It looks like there is quite a bit you can use. I admire your positive attitude and looking forward to seeing how you develop your plot.

Lots of useful things on that plot, with a bit of hard work it could become quite nice.

What an exciting project for you! Once you have cleared it and got rid of all that plastic, I think you will realise you have quite a few treasures there that will save you money. The greenhouse looks great! Looking forward to seeing how it all progresses. Good luck with your channel. I think a lot of people, like me, will enjoy following your journey. In the future you will really enjoy watching these first videos! All the best! Justine

Its insane how much rubbish is left! Mine was similar. Councils should help clear its actually no joke! Ground sheet left down has been my big problem

Just taken on my first allotment today. Thankfully had a choice of 4 so took the one which suited my needs. Good luck pulling yours around.

Well done with your progress so far! Your plot reminds me of when I first got my plot, plastic everywhere! I am still finding bits of plastic even now 18 months later as broken bits just get buried 😢 You've got a big project ahead of you but I'm sure you'll smash it and make it your own special space 🤗 xx

Set your self a realistic goal of what you want to achieve each visit to your plot,
Don't jump from job to job or you Will soon become disheartened 😑.
Remember owning an allotment plot is a Marathon not a Sprint, but when you get there it is very rewarding 😁🌱🍅🍓.

I would have picked this one too.
Hard work, definitely - but having a greenhouse and a pond already in situ is amazing!
