Sometimes manufacturer recommendation isn't the best option. I think people should search for info on their engine and understand the basics of oil standarts to choose the best. For example, I have a diesel volvo and the book says i shoul use thin 0w30 a5/b5 oil(which is only good for ecology and fuel consumption, but not the wear), but since all the ecology accesories are deleted, I use thicker 0w30 a3/b4 oil or even 0w40. Another example is BMW N57 3l and N47 2l diesels to some extent. They have rod bearring issues at typically 120-180k miles, which is actually more of an engine design and gearbox software issue, but going from 0w30 to 0w40 really helps with the issue.

I have a 91 ford f250 and I just filled the container with coolant, drove it for about an hour and a half, got home, checked it, and it was empty. I filled it to the fill line again after I parked it and checked on it an hour later but it was empty again. Do you know what’s going on?
